Shoptalk Europe is a large-scale event that brings together retailers, consumer brands, tech companies, startups, and industry executives, all with a shared focus on innovation and digital transformation in retail.
The event welcomes over 4,500 professionals from more than 70 countries, including global retail and tech industry leaders. Around 54% of attendees represent retail or brand companies with annual revenues exceeding $1 billion.
Event Structure
Shoptalk Europe features an editorially driven agenda, with no sponsored sessions influencing the content. Each year, between 165 and 170 speakers take the stage to explore the trends and innovations shaping the future of retail and consumer behavior.
In 2024, the event facilitated over 20,000 meetings, with more than 25,000 expected in 2025. To support this goal, the “Meetup” program enables direct connections between decision-makers, encouraging business deals, partnerships, and the exchange of strategic insights.
The event also features Techtalks, a sponsored format spotlighting innovative companies and disruptive technologies. Held on the show floor and powered by sponsors like AWS, Techtalks offer short, 10-minute sessions that give technology providers direct visibility to retail audiences.
Another exclusive format is the Shopwalks: VIP tours around Barcelona for groups of 20–25 retail leaders, visiting cutting-edge retail experiences and concept stores such as Rituals, TOUS, Salsa Jeans, Casa Seat, Casa ISDIN, and even Camp Nou, with pre-event networking opportunities.

Brand & Retailer Participation
Retailers and brands are eligible for the VIP Hosted Programme, which includes a free ticket, a travel and accommodation subsidy of up to €650, access to peer-to-peer roundtables, and exclusive dinners in Barcelona.
All attendees from retail and consumer brand companies must register using a corporate email and are subject to approval, as the event is reserved for director-level executives and above with decision-making authority.

2025 Edition
The 2025 edition took place from June 2–4 at Fira Gran Via in Barcelona, gathering over 4,000 global participants. Among them were C-level leaders, top retailers, emerging brands, and technology companies from more than 70 countries.

2026 Edition
The 2026 edition, under the expanded theme “The New Market,” is scheduled for June 9–11 in Barcelona. This new phase will broaden the event’s scope to include the retail media ecosystem, product discovery, and emerging marketing channels: highlighting the convergence of retail, media, and social platforms.
As the event continues to evolve, it stays true to its DNA: independent editorial content, high-impact networking, a spotlight on disruptive themes, and deep integration between digital and physical retail.
